Target Audience: Primary and Secondary Event
We will be working on developing conceptual understanding alongside procedural understanding of fractions.
You will experience how representations support children’s understanding and reasoning, and help them to make connections when working with fractions.
You will be involved in using manipulatives and the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract approach, along with the importance of the Language used (CPAL), to help pupils develop their understanding of fractions with greater depth.
